Bria Richter

Teacher

Mrs. Richter joined the National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC-domestic peace corps) in 1996 and was stationed in San Diego. While there, she worked in the community doing environmental restoration, Habitat for Humanity and after-school tutoring. 

After-completing her term of volunteerism in CA, Bria returned to the Midwest to raise her family. She became a substitute teacher and in 2006, accepted an aid position in Early Childhood. Realizing very quickly how much she enjoyed working with children and in 2007, Mrs. Richter enrolled at McKendree University to obtain her Special Education certification.  

She is passionate about creating positive relationships with children in order to guide each child to realize and develop their true potential. 

In her free time, Bria enjoys tending to her garden or pollinator wildflowers, fishing with her 8 year old son, walking the dog, or exploring the great outdoors.
